Welcome Back to School!

Hello Explorer Families!

First Day of School Information:

September 1st is the 1st day of school for 6th graders only!

September 2nd, All grades attend (1st day of school for 7th & 8th graders)

Please join us tomorrow, Tuesday, August 25th from 4:00pm-6:00pm for Explorer's Back to School Night

At our back to school night, you can do the following:

Students can also do all these things throughout the school year!

Purchase PE clothes – shirts $10, shorts $15
Support ASB by purchasing:
ASB Card/Membership $15 – required to participate in sports and/or clubs
Sweatpants $25 each -sizes in stock are limited and may need to be ordered
Explorer Eagles Blanket $15 each
Pre Order Yearbook for $25 now through September 30th
Fill out Final Forms if your child will participate in extracurricular sports this school year
Pick up laptop - 7th & 8th grade ONLY that turned them in for storage
Drop off meds with our school nurse
Turn in vacinne information
Buildings, Classrooms and the New Gym will be open for self-guided tours!
Student Schedules WILL NOT be available on this day! They will get a paper copy of their schedule on their 1st day of school. Schedules will be available on Qmlativ after 4pm on August 28th.

Students may pick up items during the Back to School Event from 4-6 or wait until after the first day of school.

Our office is now open from 8:00am - 2:00pm, Monday - Friday through August 28th. Starting in September, we will open regular hours Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:00pm

Aug. 25th - Explorer's Back to School Night, 4:00-6:00pm
Sept. 1st - 8:05 am-2:45 pm 1st Day of School for 6th Grade ONLY
Sept. 2nd - 8:05 am-2:45 pm All grades attend, 1st Day of School for 7th and 8th Grade
Sept. 4th - 8:05 am-1:30 pm LIT, Learning Improvement Time, school dismissed at 1:30 pm on LIT Fridays, lunch is served on LIT Fridays
Sept. 7th - No School, Labor Day
Sept. 8th - Season 1 Sports start, Football, Softball & Crosscountry
Sept. 23rd - Picture Day
Sept. 29th - Curriculum Night, 5:30-7:00pm, more information to come.

Important School Information

STUDENT SCHEDULES:

Schedules will be available on Qmlativ after 4pm on Friday, August 28th. Paper copies will be given to students on their first day of school.

SCHOOL HOURS:

8:05 am - 2:45 pm Monday - Thursday

8:05 am - 1:30 pm on Fridays

LAPTOPS:

Returning 7th & 8th grade students who turned in their laptops at the end of the school year can pick up their laptops at our Back to School Night, August 25 or on their first week of school.

6th graders and new students will get their laptops on the second week of school.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS:

We will have a variety of clubs available after school. An activity bus will be available and leaves school at 4:00 pm Monday - Thursday. More information to come soon. Students will learn about clubs in morning announcements, Schoology and on our Club Board across from the student office.

ACTIVITY BUS:

Is available for students who normally ride a bus home from school. The activity bus leaves Explorer at 4 pm Mondays thru Thursdays. There will not be an activity bus on Fridays. Students will give their address to the bus driver as they get on the bus. Students must have a pass from a staff member to be allowed on the bus.

Season 1 Sports/1ª Temporada Deportiva: All students must fill out a Final Forms online sports eligibility packet online every year. All students must have a doctor’s physical every two years.
